The Unveiling of Theosophical Cosmology

 I. PRESENTATION

1. The hidden keys of Theosophical Cosmology have finally been delivered to humanity. The Wheel of Time (Kalachakra) has had its spheres duly synchronized. The Cosmic Clock has been fully restored. And the great Theosophical cycles are accessible to everyone's understanding.

2. People should not imagine that previous abstract and unscientific teachings could possibly be definitive - and indeed many signs have been given in this regard.

3. In other words, we are not opposing previous concepts, but rather removing the veils of traditional symbolism in favor of a new universal culture.

4. We would like to make it clear that we have no intention of questioning scientific discoveries; we only want to contribute to the understanding of the profound contents of human experience. The Masters do not exist to divide but to add; never to confuse but to clarify.

5. The new Unveiled Cosmology represents a wonderful contribution to the rescue of our ancestry, with inestimable value for the enrichment of the Human and Natural Sciences, as well as potentially for the Occult Arts themselves.

6. The cycles of the Secret Doctrine are broad, allowing us to reach the limits of human nature to which these numbers effectively refer. These numbers contribute to and anticipate scientific knowledge about the evolution of the human being, just as their symbolic philosophy can also guide us in the deep understanding of this evolution.

7. Reciprocally, the study of History and Anthropology can also enrich the investigation of theosophical postulates, confirming information and clarifying details about the events that occurred.

8. Ultimately, employing the appropriate Keys of Analogies, Esoteric Cosmology represents a great roadmap for the initiate to investigate and employ the powers of the universe within his reach. After all, each type of cycle is also associated with some Group of spiritual Entities.

9. This represents one of the great differences between mysticism and occultism. While one imagines forces that passively influence the person without modifying their personality, the other uses the energies existing in spiritual evolution to empower oneself and actively transform personal energies.

10. The new revelations are great and impactful, determining a transition from a vision of the Mysteries from the world of mysticism to the world of occultism. Although Blavatsky spoke a lot about occultism, the honest student must admit that little practical and objective was offered in this direction.

11. The picture has changed considerably with Alice A. Bailey, and now we lift the curtain once and for all, presenting a panorama that is perhaps simpler, but certainly deeper and more precise—as well as more complex. And isn't that how true spiritual things work?!

12. The great purpose of Theosophical Cosmology is to connect human beings with the great energies that underlie the evolution of this planet throughout time. It is therefore less a matter of a great theory to be contemplated, than a great reality to be experienced.

13. The present approach unveiled by Theosophical Cosmology represents a double advance that goes in the direction of the universal, deepening the path of Occultism on the one hand and embracing objective Science on the other.

14. It turns out that Occultism is also Science, and cannot be successfully practiced without respect for objective Science, since its purpose is precisely to complement Science or investigate the foundations of what is real and not what is fanciful or speculative.

15. There are different models of Cosmologies. Astrological Cosmology works with energies of different levels deposited in the collective unconscious - to use a well-known term -, related only symbolically to planets, stars and constellations; although the common mentality tends to believe literally in cosmic influences.

16. The brilliant anthropologist Claude Levi Strauss declared that “Astrology is a constructivism avant la lettre.” In other words, a purely subjective or spiritual issue. This is what Plato and Pythagoras did: pure symbolism and work with internal energies.

17. Under our coordination, Theosophical or Esoteric Cosmology appears as a precious and modern science of universal structuralism of human evolution, opening new perspectives for research on many fronts, including the occult.

18. In Unveiled Cosmology, there is no true materialistic astrophysical cosmology, but rather an astrological symbolism focused on two evolutionary scales: a broad, primitive material one with little spiritual expression, and a brief, modern spiritual one with little physical change. All of this can be operated in terms of analogies through the 360-degree Solar Key of Manvantara.

19. Even if the student cannot accept the symbolic nature of theosophical cosmology, he will not be able to refute its fantastic prescience of more than a century before the Natural Sciences, and its great scientific value for human evolution, in view of the precise numbers given by theosophists as we have tried to clarify in our studies.

20. The reader should therefore understand that the nature of the contents now revealed always refers to subtle energies, even when they are more or less associated with physical entities as races and species. 

21. We therefore refer the student to our article entitled “The Nature of Esoteric Astrology”, which may better assist in the occultist understanding of the matters at hand.

22. The presentation that follows in this text represents only a general view of Theosophical Cosmology Unveiled. Detailed studies of the subject have required several treatises that are already available to the student in the form of the Collection “The Light of Theosophy”. (1)

II. INTRODUCTION POSTULATES

1. The seed of understanding Theosophical Cosmology is born from Initiation. Only those who handle the living energies of the Universe can understand the subtleties of the symbolic language that serves as its veil and access its true essences.

2. Esoteric Cosmology is not intended to be studied outside of initiation, and this for many reasons. In addition to involving subtle or spiritual postulates, this knowledge represents a roadmap for the initiatory paths themselves.

3. Esoteric Cosmology represents a great Map of the evolution of humanity, but because it deals with a sensitive subject, it is given only in outline. The common people will be left with these empty schemes, but the initiated will try to apply them to real life, extracting their hidden Keys from them.

4. "Humanity still carries a heavy negative spiritual burden from its long, magical, primitive past; turning a blind eye to this is unwise. There is no time to waste in acquiring a higher consciousness and strengthening oneself against the challenges of cosmic Evil." (DSR, Vol. II)

5. "If people knew everything that might await them in the other world due to the planet's accumulated karma, they would have a very different and positive attitude toward spirituality. Hell represents a revelation as important as heaven, but people tend to ignore the former and to exaggerate their rights to the latter. These are two fatal errors for the living soul." (DSR, Vol. II)

6. "Generally, people study at most the positive Hierarchies, and yet it would not be an exaggeration to say that behind every light there is a shadow. In any case, alignment with the light will always be the best solution." (DSR, Vol. II)

7. Esoteric Cosmology is not really a conventional material cosmology, as appearances may sometimes suggest. It is only cosmology in the etymological sense of representing a given cultural ordering of the world.

8. This Unveiled Cosmology employs all the main theosophical cycles and also the structures given by HPB's Esoteric Chronology, albeit in an applied manner and in relation to human evolution itself since its first incipient steps on the planet.

9. Theosophical Cosmology basically represents an abstract theory. Tradition seeks to offer some objective application of its mysteries as veils. However, in Theosophy all this has still remained somewhat vague and symbolic.

10. However, through the application of the correct Keys, theosophical information acquires life, meaning and manifestation. For this reason, the student of Theosophy or derived schools may find it strange not to come across many of the well-known abstractions with which he became familiar in theosophical studies.

11. What is offered here is therefore a true Unified Science, no longer dissociated as before, but a vision of the Unity characteristic of the knowledge of the Golden Ages of humanity. It is a contribution both to the Natural Sciences and to the Occult Sciences.

12. Traditional Cosmology has never dealt with astronomical matters, but rather with the reorganization of the spiritual order within humanity, as a specific application of the term kosmos, “order” in Greek.

13. Even so, considerations about broader developments would be only an extension of what matters most, which are the current realities, and this is the great message brought by the Solar Key of Manvantara.

14. This Solar Key is not just a mathematical formula for unlocking the secrets of the esoteric calendars; it is also, symbolically speaking, a central occult key to the solar initiation itself related to OM.

15. The true essence of Ancient Cosmology lies in spiritual Humanism or human Spirituality. Even in the symbolism of the biblical Genesis, the primordial waters refer directly to humanity in its different stages of organization.

16. However, this is astrology and not astronomy. Blavatsky was not always very clear about this and Bailey had to correct her. It is not the Globes that condition humanity, but rather the opposite.

17. All sacred cosmology is intended to organize a framework for the liberation of humanity. It is human evolution and spirituality that are important, racial spiritual and human evolutionary cycles, without the need to resort to greater abstractions.

18. What Theosophical Cosmology conceals through symbolic astronomical language is especially the record of human evolution in general, including that of other humanities prior to the current one.

19. The existence of species necessarily dialogues with the Laws of Nature, and this has in itself a great regularity in its cycles, consequently also determining the cycles of evolution of species.

20. It has been observed that many of these cycles were preceded by great cataclysms and significant population reduction, leading to renewal processes through human resilience and creativity.

21. The general structure of the physical cycles is roughly quaternary, and the following ones are not computed because they are nirvanic. Larger physical records are only apparent, improperly bringing together independent segments.

22. This also means that we are currently already under a complex framework of transitions, in an alignment of terminal cycles with much greater power and more effective than any exoteric "planetary alignment".

23. We reiterate that this represents only the General Scheme of a Great Planetary Initiatory Science, a tool for a very exact knowledge of the energies to be worked on at each stage of the evolution of the advanced beings of our planet in particular.

24. Let us now proceed to detail the Foundations of this unveiled Theosophical Cosmology. The diagrams and information we bring are not very different from those that have been linked in the early days of the Theosophical Society, but the interpretation and practical application change a lot, bringing extremely impactful revelations about the destiny of humanity in all its phases of formation and more especially from now on of completion or transformation.

III. DESCRIPTION OF THEOSOPHICAL COSMOLOGY UNVEILED

The Great Cycles

1. The Mahamanvantara

The great oriental descriptive pattern of the evolution of humanity is that of the Mahakalpa (Great Cycle) or Mahamanvantara, covering 18.5 million years - which is the mysterious and always mentioned largest number by theosophists. In this great cosmic basis of human and pre-human evolution, four Manvantaras are gathered together, as a kind of fundamental cosmic Cosmology in which all the bases of subsequent evolutions are organized. These four cycles bring together three hominid evolutions, crowned by the fourth cycle (the Current) containing evolved hominids (bipeds) and the homo species, among which ours is found.

In the image above we see these four Manvantaras at the top in the light of the Great Day of Brahma, and the four Pralayas that follow them are at the bottom in the shadow of the Great Night of Brahma, which occupies a similar period. This means that we are in the last physical Manvantara heading towards the Pralayas to come. And in the image below we have the evolution of species in this Mahamanvantara from the separation between monkeys and apes that will finally result in the human species after many millions of years, through long periods always interspersed with important planetary crises.

2. The Manvantara

The divisions of the Mahakalpa are therefore those of the Kalpa or Manvantara, whose most universal measurement is 4.32 million years, containing - from an esoteric theosophist perspective - four Solar Systems, distinct therefore from the traditional Yugas (Ages) of the Manvantara and which also occur in parallel. This therefore represents the great Eastern Canon of evolution, because current humanity also evolves within this unit of time in a macro-vision of its evolution.

In the image above we see once again the evolution of the Seven Solar Systems, the upper half manifested in light and the lower half hidden in shadow. 3. The Solar System

The divisions of the Manvantara are therefore the Solar Systems, each System being one million years old, and containing in them Four physical Planetary Chains where human species or families have evolved. Each solar system is preceded by a great cataclysm with a genetic bottleneck resulting in a new speciation, with there also being smaller cataclysms between each Planetary Chain.

The image below shows the current Fourth Solar System with its four Planetary Chains and their main known human species. Again the Fourth Chain -which is the current one- is a transition to the Pralayas of Chains.

4. The Planetary Scheme 

Each Planetary Scheme is 250 thousand years old, containing four manifest Globes and a fifth in transition - this is the “Greater Zodiac” spoken of by Alice A. Bailey in “Esoteric Astrology”. Here our humanity, homo sapiens, develops in the present day.

Between each globe there is also a crisis of preparation, whether natural or cultural (wars, migrations, etc.). Today's humanity occupies the Fourth Globe, but is in transition to its Fifth Globe, which already represents an etheric transition to the Globes of Pralaya with transcended humanities.

The Minor Cycles

5. The Globes

Each Globe is 50 thousand years old, containing Two Planetary Chains and Four Rounds serving as Metallic Ages. This is the cycle of the great Cognitive Revolutions of humanities.

This cycle is special because it represents the evolutionary environment of humanity with its Rounds, Eras and Races. For this reason, there is a traditional analogy here with the whole of the Mahamavantara through the Solar Key of 360. We are currently completing the Fourth Round of the Fourth Globe of the Earth's Planetary Scheme.

6. The Planetary Chain 

Each Planetary Chain is 25 thousand years long, containing Two World Rounds or arcs that are a Pralaya and a Manvantara, also known as the Night and Day of Brahma. The great difference between these binary cycles is only in the degree of civilization manifested in them.

The Planetary Chain is also known as the Cosmic Year or Plato's Great Year, containing five solar races. The remaining two races occupy their transition in a manner superimposed on the races of the incoming cycle. We are currently entering the hemi-cycle of the Sixth Race of the current minor Manvantara (overlapping the First Race of the future Planetary Chain), which corresponds to the Age of Aquarius, thus ending the current Globe.

7. The World Rounds 

Each World Round is 13,000 years long and contains 2.5 Root Races (see above).

These Rounds are also sometimes called Solar Systems and Manvantaras, due to the analogies they bear with the great kalpa. Each Round must restart the registration of the races to have the correct position of the racial initiations, something that Theosophy has not yet observed.

8. The Races

Each cultural Race is 5,200 years old, and contains divisions of sub-races and also quadruple Metallic Ages.

The division of five cultural races is common in the Cosmologies and is found in the Stanzas of Dzyan. We are currently closing the Fifth Race and moving towards the transition of the Round and the Planetary Chain, when the energies of the cycles overlap.

III. SOME CONCLUSIONS

1. We reiterate that all these cycles repeat themselves in their Pralayas or nirvanas on subtle planes of evolution.

2. In spiritual terms, “subtle energies would have formed over the 3.5 billion years since life emerged on the planet, in an increasingly sensitive and complex way, eventually receiving the contribution of energies coming from other planets, all of this beginning as an interaction with new species that were fostering their consciousness in a growing complexity under their own vital dynamics of trial and error.” (DSR, Vol. II)

3. There would be nothing more significant for humanity beyond the current Manvantara of 4,320 million years, because there are no remnants of true humanity beyond that. Esoteric Astrology works with human evolution and the spiritual energies involved in it.

4. Theosophists say that humanity began 18.5 million years ago with the arrival of Sanat Kumara. The use of the Solar Key (the value 360 ​​also mentioned in the Theosophical Glossary) suggests that it is the first Round of the current Globe - although in this case it is also the first Kumara, Sanaka, who would be involved.

5. According to Bailey, “104 Kumaras came from Venus” (TFC). They are destined to govern the Four Rounds of each of the 26 physical Globes of the Four Planetary Schemes of the current Quaternary Solar System of the evolution of our Fourth Manvantara. It also mentions the arrival of four other special Kumaras. These Kumaras are destined to govern the Four Planetary Schemes of the current Solar System.

6. “In total, we will then have 108 Kumaras in the Solar System—not coincidentally, this is the great sacred number of the Hindus—with a principal one linked to the three “Buddhas of Activity.” These Four Kumaras occupy even more special positions, as they govern larger cycles—the heads of the Four manifested Planetary Chains. A final value of (108 x 4 =) 432 Kumaras in the complete Manvantara, a value that is a fractal of the Manvantara number itself.” (DSR, Vol. I, Ch. 3)

7. The nature and number of species and subspecies currently known fills with great accuracy the spaces of the current Solar System of evolution.

8. Primitive spirituality would have contributed to the formation of Elemental energies and ancient spirituality would have participated in the formation of Angelic energies.

9. We reiterate that large and medium human cycles are invariably decided and conditioned by planetary cataclysms and evolutionary bottlenecks. Smaller ones can be renewed by cultural issues such as wars and migrations.

10. Studying the evolution of human and previous species, we see that crises and genetic bottlenecks are part of their evolutionary processes; In view of this, we have come to understand that what we are about to experience today - when a Sixth Mass Extinction has already been decreed, capable of affecting even human beings themselves - may simply be part of the natural order of things.

11. The Four Evolutionary Rounds of the current Globe were also migratory cycles of Homo sapiens out of Africa, combining with ancient humanities present throughout the world and thus generating the new human races of the current Planetary Chain.

12. The years 2012 and 2025 respectively end the cycles of the Fifth Mayan Sun and the Fifth Aryan Race, which began practically together in the 32nd Century BC.

13. This brings to an end the Fourth Round (which was a Manvantara), as well as its Planetary Chain and its Globe of evolution. Thus, we are practically beyond some of the great cycles that humanity was experiencing until a few years ago. 

14. We are therefore currently inaugurating a new primordial Race of transition (which is also the Age of Aquarius) and moving towards a new initial Round (which is a Pralaya), a new Planetary Chain (the “Ninth”) and a new Globe of evolution (the Fifth) – each with its proportional greatness of transition.

15. Alice A. Bailey has already reported that a great alignment is underway bringing together Humanity, Hierarchy and Shambhala through respective cycles – and that we can say that it began in 2025. However, it is possible to aggregate even greater cycles and to know their true nature, because all the cycles listed above are quaternary or terminal.

16. The subject of transitions may sound somewhat confusing, especially regarding races or periods common to two cycles. However, symbols such as the vesica piscis are suggestive in this direction, and even show that it is at this intersection that the Messiah appears.

17. The revelation of the complete Theosophical Cosmology provides a picture of absolute cosmic transition that places humanity before a threshold of great uncertainty, if it does not begin to seriously incorporate spirituality as an essential value.

18. All of this is already perfectly scientific and official - and will become increasingly so - and is not just some new esoteric theory, because this Unveiling has been carried out in parallel with the officially recognized scientific discoveries themselves and also in light of the emerging planetary crises.

19. There are several conclusions to be drawn from this whole picture. However, all of this indicates above all that humanity must begin to prepare itself objectively and consciously for the sublimation of this world and seek measures to no longer need to reincarnate on the planet.
